FAREWELL SOCIAL.

/ A large gathering spent a social evening in the Broadwood A. and P. Hall last week to farewell Mr Peter Erlich, who has been transferred from the Broadwood Post and Telegraph Office, to Pacroa. Mr T. B. Mooney, who acted as M.C., speaking on behalf of the local football, tennis and golf clubs, Oddfellows’ Lodge and. social committees generally, said that Mr Urlich had proved himself, for the past six years, an efficient and obliging member of the community. "Mr Mooney then presented the guest with a cheque and good wishes for future success. The evening was spent ’in dancing, music being gratuitously supplied by Mesdames S. -Julian C. Newman, Misses Hick and Urlich, Afessrs Gatland, S. Julian and B. Urlich, A feature, of the dancing was the introduction of the Statue Log Cabin, which was won by Airs Emsou and Mr 11. Merlin.
