The Oniru hall was the scone, on Wednesday afternoon, of a farewell tendered to Mrs .1. (!. Grant by tlio ladies of (lie Omni and Pcria districts.
In making a small presentation re Mis Grant, Mrs A. Garten stressed t!m fact (bat Mrs Grant’s place in Omni would be bard to (ill, and emphasised the deep regret they all felt at losing her, A bouquet was presented to the guest (if honour by Mrs Francis on lmhalf of residents of the Valley, and Mrs Walton on behalf of the Women’s institute also presented a bouquet. Expressions of regret at Mrs Grant’s departure were voiced bv Mesdames Handball and Forsyth. Mrs Grant suitably responded. The bnlanee of the afternoon was
spent in games and a selection of musical Items rendered by Hie following; Misses Sylvia Foster and Winnie Maria (duet ), Xoreeu Taylor and Merle Taylor (pianoforte solos'), and Mrs Allen Garten (songs). Afternoon tea concluded the gatheri if,?-
