Cruelty Alleged. Habitual drunkenness and cruelty by Godfrey Onus was alleged by Ethel Kate Orms (Mr Matthews). The parties were married in 1921 and the marriage was a success until 1925. Then respondent commenced drinking habits which grew worse, and lie was frequently drunk every night in the week.. As his condition became worse lie commenced to ill-treat her. On several occasions she had to go to the police for protection. In February last year she was forced to leave her home, an 1 in April last obtained a separation order. The application was adjourned pending authority being submitted on a legal point raised. Adultery Charges, Adultery was the ground on which George Thomas Clifton Curby (Mr Matthews) obtained a decree from Emily Franees Curby. Petitioner, who was married in 1923, said that from someI thing he hoard in November, 1932, ' with a party of other men he went to •a relief camp at Clevedon at night. !
