RAWENE

LEAGUE OF MOTHERS. Mrs English, Dominion president of the League of Mothers, paid a visit to Rawene on Tuesday, and in the afternoon addressed a large audience of members of the Rawene branch and of the Kohukohu branch .in the county hall. Her subject was, “The Aim and Object of the League of Mothers Movement in New Zealand.” In the evening, at an epen meeting, Mrs English gave a very interesting talk on her trip to the Continent of Europe. Whilst in Europe she witnessed the famous Passion Play at Oberammergau. 1 ° I After the conclusion of the address, Mrs Russell, the president of the Rawene branch, thanked Mrs English on behalf of those present. Items were rendered by Mr T. A. Wilson and Mr Gibbs. Golf Season. A large number of Rawene members visited the Kohukohu golf course on Sunday last on the occasion of the j opening of the Kohukohu links. Some Very interesting matches were pln}’ed.
