HOUSE FULL OF GAS

ALARMING DISCOVERY. YOUNG WOMAN UNCONSCIOUS. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Shortly after 9 o’clock last evening two young women hired a taxi to go to a house in College Street, and on their arrival there one of them went inside, only to rush out a few minutes later to state that the house was full of gas and that a girl was in one of the rooms. The driver of the taxi sent the two women for the police and he himself entered the house, where he found a young -woman lying unconscious on Die floor of the kitchen. Taking her outside, he applied artificial respiration, and after 20 minutes she showed slight signs of consciousness. An ambulance was sent for and the young woman was admitted to hospital. It is understood her life is not in danger. She is believed to lx* a resident of Motuoka.
