FIGURES INCREASE
BRITISH UNEMPLOYED. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 5. Unemployed at January 22 increased by 164,180 compared with December IS. This is the .first .substantial increase since January, 1033, since when there has been a net deficit of .313,007. A considerable part of the January rise is seasonal, though there is also loss employment in engineering industries, while an nnsually large number of children have reached school-leav-ing age, resulting in their registration In unemployment exchanges.
