SALVAGE CAPTAIN INDICTED. / SALVAGE CAPTAIN INDCTED 1 GUILTY ON NINE COUNTS. (Received I p.m.) LONDON, February 5. 1 Appearing for trial at , the Old Bailey, Captain Brymr.or Miles, chief of the London Salvage .Corps, pleaded guilty on nine counts, including one of conspiracy with the convicted Leopold Louis Harris to pervert the administration of justice. He is also charged with corruptly accepting £SOO aiid a bank guarantee of £IOOO from Harris, besides smaller amounts; also, as the confidential agent of the -Salvage Corps, with betraying information secretly collected, thereby effecting public mischief. The Attorney-Genera/, Sir Thomas Inskip, in a speech for the prosecution, recounted the allegation. Harris," who is now serving a 14- j year term for the insurance frauds, and now a shadow of his former self, was accompanied with a seat in the dock owing to illness. He recapitulated his evidence.
