CARRYING ON
NORMAN'S BUS SERVICE. QUESTION OF NOTIFICATION. An extraordinary position has arisen concerning Norman ami Sons’ passenger bus service to Hikurangi. The decision of the Appeal Board, cancelling the license, was officially conveyed to No. .1 District Licensing Authority in a letter from the Commissioner of Transport received on Monday afternoon. It is customary for the parties interested to receive personally direct notification from Wellington, but Mr Norman says that so far he has received no official word whatever. His mail is delivered at the house daily. Consequently, although the advice re eeived by the local Licensing Authority was to the effect that the service should stop last night, Mr Norman decided to carry on this morning, and through the day has done good business. The position will bo gone into upon the return of No. 1 District Licensing Authority from Kaitaia tomorrow night.
