ONE-LEGGED SWIMMER
CHANNEL ATTEMPT FAILS. DUE TO ROUGH CONDITIONS. (Received 10.80 a.m.) LONDON, August 13. Strong winds and rough seas forced the one-legged American, Charles Zlbelman, to abandon his attempt to swim the Channel for the Dover Golf Cup, after being in the water for eleven hours.
