WHANGAREI CLUB. PLUMBERS' CUP SHOOT. A shoot-off for teams of five, open to any trade or business associates, was concructecr by the Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club last night. The holders, the “Northern Advocate'' were defeated, the Bargain Store A team annexing the Plumbers’ Cup by a margin of nine points from the North Auckland Regiment. A sweepstake was also shot off last night, C. Ruddell becoming the winner with 07 —3—loo. R. Jennings was runner-up with 015—4—100. Miss Clarke also shot, but was counted out by R. Jennings. The A grade rooster was retained by the holder, M. Stewart, without opposition. Tn the B grade Miss Clarke, 69, boat Mrs Hill, 63, and four others. j The Rotorua Miniature Rifle Club has challenged the local club to a postal shoot, consisting of 33 members a side. The challenge, has been accepted, and will be shot off on Friday next.
