EXECUTIVE MEETS. QUESTION OF TRANSFERS, COMMITTEE APPOINTED. • The executive committee of the Northland Rugby League held its fortnightly mooting at Hikurangi. The president, Mr J. F. Johnson, occupied tho chair, and presided over an attendance of eleven delegates and the secretary, Mr C. E. o’Callaghan. Congratulations on the splendid performances in the eup competitions were extended by Mr Johnson to all clubs. Evidence of the keen enthusiasm prevailing was forthcoming from the fact that, in spite of wot Saturdays and tho necessity of travelling long distances, not one default had arisen.

Throughout, the ultimate winner of either competition was kept in doubt and eventually ties were the order. Mr Johnson congratulated the Whaka-Waro juniors on annexing the Davidson Cup by their defeat of Kamo in the final on Saturday, and intimated that the City-Hikurangi match to decide the abode of the Morron Cup would be played this Saturday. A, Belson’s application for a transfer from the Kamo Club could not be dealt with until he secured a clearance from the club.. A, Lennc’s application I 'for transfer from Kamo to City Club was granted, subject to its being in order and in the hands of the secretary before ho plays for the City Club. It was subsequently decided that a committee be set up to make a report and suggestions to the next meeting as a means of regulating transfers and to check trafficking in players from one club to another, . Messrs Taylor, McKinlay and Patterson were appointed as the committee. The president gave notice of motion that .all minutes dealing with transfers from one club to another be rescinded, and that the recommendations of the committee as passed by the League, take precedence, A resolution, that, if suitable, the return match with Kaikohe be played on July 20, was carred unanimously. Mr F. Little was appointed manager of the team. It was resolved to paint the cqalposts at Kensington Park.
