FIXTURES ALTERED. PARK UNPLAYABLE. Pwing to the state of Rugby Park following the rain, matches will not ce played there tomorrow, and the arrangement of the fixtures has been altered by the Rugby Union. These are advertised today. The main game will be the meeting of Mangakahia and Hikurangi, which will be staged at Kensington Park. Mangakahia started from the bottom ol the ladder’, and are now well up, and playing splendid football. They should fully extend Hikurangi, and the encounter will be followed with interest. The other senior match is between Hiltj and ’Karamea, and will be played it ’Karamea. Teams will be as follows:—

The Hawke’s Bay Rugby representative team defeated the xdsiting Manawatu representatives at Hastings yesterday afternoon in ideal weather by 21 points to 15. The home side’s score was made up by three converted and one unconverted tries and a penalty goal, while the visitors scored live
trios. ’The game was fast and open, both sides throwing the ball about. Hawke’s Bay was slightly the superior in the lirst half, the backs having a fair share of the ball, an advantage they turned to good account, and the score at the interval was 13 —U in favour of the home side. Mauawatu was in Hawke’s B&y’s territory for three parts of the second spell, and was unlucky on numerous occasions in not getting over. For the winners, Lequesne (2), Collett and Grant scored tries, Palmer converting three and kicking a penalty goal. McKenzie, Cooper, Bradley akd Bramwell scored fot the visitors.
