LARGE CATCH OF COD
SEVENTY TONS FROM CHATHAMS. ® (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. With an unusually large catch of blue cod, about 70 tons, the trawler South Sea arrived at Wellington on Wednesday evening from the Chatham Islands. The catch included a large quantity of groper, the major portion of which to be exported to Australia. The vessel left the Chathams last Monday and experienced a southerly gale, which delayed her arrival for about eight hours.
