The State of Illinois todays by an overwhelming majority of 800,000, voted in favoiir of the repeal of national prohibition. 1 ' This makes nine states which so far have affirmed repeal. Indiana is tovote tomorrow, and a ‘ ‘ wet ’ ; majority is anticipated. j None of the objecting states-has- - large population, and their' geo-‘ graphical position makes them 'tfadi--tioually “dry.”
