(Per Press Association.—rrnuyrifrlit.7 DUXEDIX, .Frida \ The latest development in the prime epidemic was the attempt by two men to a roll a taxi-driver, Thomas Hyde, on a lonely road near Waikari last night. Hyde was engaged by two young men to drive them about a mile past Waikari. At a lonely spot the driver was ordered by one of the men, at the point of a , revolver, to get out and put his hands up. He complied with the request, and then walked towards the men. The man with the revolver said: “Stand back or I’ll plug you,’’ telling his mate to search Hyde.
