CASE AT COURT
MONTH’S IMPRLSONMENT ORDERED,
•At the AVhangarei Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Kenneth Hamilton pleaded guilty to being an idle and disorderly person. The police stated that accused, who had made no attempt to obtain Avork, AA'as in an execrable condition physically. Hamilton stated that he had come to AVhangarei because he thought ho might be able to got work hero. The Magistrate, Mr O. N. Morris: "To go about in a half-intoxicated condition begging for money, Avas a poor Avay to achieve your object.” Mr Morris thought it would, be In accused’s own interests to spend a ■ month in prison, Avhero he Avould get a good elean-np and leave ready for a fresh start. He advised Hamilton to seek admission to a single men’s camp on release, and on no account to return to AVhangarei.
