MASS OF BLOSSOM

AX UNQUALIFIED’ SUCCESS. The Town Hall presented a most plcturesfiue appearance in tlie evening, when the Horticultural Society’s flower show was continued. There was a large attendance and everybody was delighted with the show. The beautiful exhibits and artistically decorated stage were seen to advantage in the brightness of electric light. A capital programme of music and dancing was submitted during the evening. An orchestra consisting of Miss Kdna Langmuir (piano), Messrs G. Bingon and M. Kelly (violins), M. ’Clark (trumpet), W. Given (double bass), P». 0. Piper (cello) and W. Calder (drums) played “ Davenport ” (march), “Stepping Stones” (gavotte) and “Adorable.” Their items were much enjoyed, A -charming dance recital was given bv Miss Pelita and her pupils. Miss Pelita. again demonstrated her charm and skill by her performance in the “Snake Charmer,” and in cooperation with Misses Kthel M ilson and Joyce Armstrong, in a delightful number.“in the Wind.” Miss Claudia Warrington danced acceptably “La Gaieto.” “Poses all the Way” was a pretty item by Shirley Maxwell, as was “The Garland,” danced by Jean Warne, Betty Barber and .Mary Wilson.
