TWO APPLICANTS SUCCEED, (Special to “Northern Advocate.’’) AUCKLAND, This Day. A ballot was hold yesterday by the North Auckland Land Board for six sections in the Mangakaretu block, 12 miles from Okaihau. There were six applicants, but only two, Mr and Mrs W. Halse, were isucccssful. They obtained adjoining lots of .120 acres and 127 acres capable of being farmed cither as separate holdings or as one property. The holdings offered were of fair quality gum land, ranging from 120 to over 200 acres, and applicants, it was considered, must possess a certain amount of capital.
