PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. Prior to the concluding event at the Maungatapere sports meeting yesterday, the president, Mr .1. G. Draper, expressed, the club’s thanks to * the competitors for their continued and increased support this year, and to the public, for their generous patronage, Trojdiies were then presented as follows; —
The Rawene Public (School, winners of the relay race. —The Herbert (Smith Trust Cup. D. B. Adam, winner of the Maungatapere Cup Handicap.—The Powell Cup, The Whatitiri Public School girls, winners of the relay race for girls.— The Herbert (Smith Trust Cup. Mr Duncan McLennan, winner oT Highland Fling for gentlemen.—Cup presented by Air R. S. Eerridgo, vicepresident of the club. Alias Patricia Alorrin, most points iu daiming under ,15 years.—A handsome trophy, presented by Mrs D. Cairns, of Poroti.
