Following upon Moscow’s consent to return tlie rolling stock to the Chinese Eastern Railway which she seized, except the locomotives, the Manehukuo Government will present a Note demanding the unconditional return of all the engines belonging to that railway. It is believed that if the Soviet calls a strike in the railway . dr “hedges” in any way, the Manchukuo Government will proceed to seize the whole of the line in which Russia has half, a share.

The Soviet newspaper , “Izvestia” alleges that Japanese in Manchuria are plotting ,to secure control of the Chinese Eastern Railway by dynamiting the bridges, water towers and other equipment at the end of April. ' The paper urges the Japanese Government to restrain,; unbridled adventurers, including Japanese officials, of Manchukuo, who are seeking to complicate the situation in the Far East.
