VANCOUVER, December 17. A message from Bella Coola, British Columbia, about 200 miles north of Vancouver, stated that 21 white men and Indians were missing in the mo* tor boat J. and J. - ■

A later message, however, stated that the J. and J. w r as discovered today by the steamer Venture. The men. were given, food and supplies. Previously the boat was last seen on. AVedhesday attempting to make itsway through heavy ice on the return, trip from Bella Bella to Bella Coola,; a distance of 75 miles. The boat had taken the party toa Bella Bella for a basketball match. The search was hampered by this ice conditions.
