OTAIK A RIFLE RANGE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, — it is with regret that I notice that the Otaika rifle range is to be closed. As an old rifleman who has shot on the range ever since it was a range, I have often remarked that the configuration of the country makes it especially suitable for such a purpose, and that, with a little expense, it could be made a-veritable 1 am not a draughtsman, but I could give a comprehensive idea, of what could be done. Now that we have so many who are unfortunately unem-’ ployed, a few pounds would be well spent. Everything possible should he done to support ride shooting, as, apart from being a skilled sport, it is a -strong national asset. —I am, etc., S.O.S,
