The Persian Government rcplying«to the last British Note, considers that the Hague Court is not competent to examine the oil dispute. It reiterates that cancellation of the D’Arcy concession is justified, and it threatens to bring to the notice of theLeague of Nations alleged threats of pressure by the British Government, which was encouraging the oil company to resist the payment of royalties and income tax. A new agreement is suggested, safeguarding Persian interests.

French, Dutch, American and Rumanian oil interests have reached an agreement on measures necessary to balance the production of oil with the demand. Rumania has agreed to limit production to 15,.100 tons daily for three month,s from January 1. REFERENCE TO LEAGUE. MIN ISTE R INSTE UCTED. (Received 10 a.m.) GENEVA, December 14. The Persian Government has instructed its Minister to refer the dispute regarding the cancellation of the concession in favour of the AngloPcrsian Oil Company to the League.
