At the Sydney wool sales today 13,730 bales wore offered, and 10,907 were sold; also, 2218 wore disposed of privately. The market was linn at the closing rates of last week. Continental and Japanese buyers were the ehief operators and there was improved Imying on Yorkshire aeeounl. Creasy merino made IOiRI. OFFERINGS IX THE DOMINION. FIGURES FOR. FOUR MONTHS. Of 7830 hales of wool offered at auction in the Dominion during the four mouths ended October, 7042 were sold, states the report of Dalgety and Co., Ltd. hi the corresponding period last year 2801 bales were offered and 2007 were sold. The Auckland returns were .1301. offered and sold in 1932, compared with 258 offered and sold in 1931. During October 3452 halos were offered in the Dominion, 2837 being sold. At Auckland 322 bales were offered and sold. Exports of wool during October totalled 18,058 bales. Auckland and Opua shipments, 11(13 hales. For the four months ended October, 77,713 hales wore exported, as against 52,333 hales in the corresponding period last year, the figures for Auckland and Opua being (1(138 and 3(185 bales respectively.
MINING NEWS. NORTH BROKEN HILL. A dividend of one shilling a share, payable on December 14, Ims been declared by (lie directors of North Broken Hill, Ltd. This is the second dividend of one shilling paid during the current year, which commenced on July 1. SALES OP CONCENTRATES. , The proceeds of the sale of concentrates forwarded by the. Golden Progress Company (Central Otago) to the American Smelting and Refining Company, Ltd., amounting to about 111 tons, have been received by the company. The sum of £505 was realised. KILDARE YIELD. A small portion of . the Kildare (Central Otago) Lead on the rising reef in the south end of the paddock has been taken out for a return of 73 o,uncos. The waslt is now making stronger, with improved prospects. MANAGER’S REPORT. Talisman Dubbo (Karangaiiake).— The drive at No. 1 Talisman level has been extended eight feet for the week. ‘ The country is firm and of a good description, with numerous quartz stringers crossing the face. A leader four inches wide was cut.
