“CONGORILLA”

ADVENTURE EPIC

A M AZING REV IvLATTOXS,

Those who saw ‘ • Cong'orilla ” at the Regent Theatre on .Saturday evening .accept it as the most astounding revelation of the uncanny and unique which they have ever witnessed. A man might travel for years in the heart of equatorial Africa without seeing so much of its hidden mysteries—human and animal. Mr and Mrs Martin Johnson risked their lives time and time again, and many of their most hairbreadth adventures are shared by those who see the picture.

The film holds this vital difference from others of a. similar nature—nothin" - is exaggerated or distorted. The “personally eomlneted” torn - , giving a clear explanation of eaeh phase, greatly enhances the edneative value. Detailed modes of Pigmy life formed a most interesting part of the picture, and the scenes of formidable denizens of the African hinterland (rhinos, crocs, hippopotami, elephants, etc), also herds of giraffes and flocks of flamingoes, living and dying in their natural surroundings, give impressions which will he long - retained in memory. The achievement of “Congorilla ’ ’ enables millions to participate in the thrills and delights which hitherto have been reserved for a favoured ft w.

The supporting programme is excellent. Mention must he made of “Broadway.” This street is officially IdO miles long, and, in an entirely different way, contains as many extraordinary things as are to be found in the heart of the Congo.
