‘ ‘ I regard Armistice Day as a dying institution,” says the Rev. P. Carpenter, vicar of Mew Mill, Derbyshire, who refused to hold a special Armistice Day service. Ho said ho would conduct a service, but it would bo the ordinary Sunday morning service. “The good churchgoer does not need a special day to think and pray on the lines of Armistice Day,” he said.
