Questioned in the House of Commons regarding the Canadian Government’s attitude towards the anti-dump-ing surcharge, based on the rate of exchange, the Dominions Secretary, Air J. H. Thomas, said sympathetic consideration had been promised of' the possibility of reducing, if not wholly abolishing, the duty in so far as it. applied to imports to the United Kingdom. ‘ '
