DOG SHOW

OPENS IN WHANGAEEI

■SOME SPLENDID TYPES. With an excellent entry of dogs, including many of the finest animals in Auckland, the annual show of the North Auckland Kennel Club commenced in the Drill Hall, Walton Street, this afternoon. Over 100 dogs are on view, including 63 from metropolitan fanciers. By far the best class numerically are the Alsatians. • Mr 11. T. Parkin is show manager, and the judges are Messrs It. K. May (toys), Bedford (sporting clogs), and Coster (Alsatians). The last two mentioned are Aucklanders.

This evening the exhibition will bo open from 7 o’clock until 10 o’clock. Doors will open at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning and the show will continue until 10 p.m. 465
