ORE OX EXHIBITION. (Special 1 to “Northern Advocate.’’) WELLINGTON, This Bay. ' . An exhibit,-of gold ore from the Chapman claim, recently reported from Coromandel, is on view in the. show windows of a prominent Lamb- ~ ton Quay firm of ...-jewellers. The slate rock containing the gold is said to be typical of the Coromandel country. The specimens were brought to Wellington for inspection by the Minister of Mines, and the Hnder-Secrctary of the Mines Depart- -° ment has expressed satisfaction atthe richness of the ore.

Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P. for Thames, states that pleasure is felt at the efforts of the department ,in giving, assistance to prospectors, who are bringing valuable returns.
