PROHIBITED AREAS. (Prom Our Parliamentary Special. ) WELLINGTON, This Day. Seine netters are to bo prohibited, from fishing in certain areas of the Hauraki Gulf, according to regulations to be issued shortly. Following representations by Mr W. ,P. Eiidean, M.P., he indicated last iliglitU’that seine netters and trawlers' would be prohibited for all time within an area bounded by a. line drawn approximately from Saddle Island, skirting the coast to the north : east [tart of Wairau Bay, on the WhangaJjtaraoa Peninsula. A similar ■ prohibition would apply to the waters op the north side of Waiheke Island, incliiding Oneroa. and Onetangi Bays, -Another prohibited area would be - the waters inside a line drawn from Deadman’s Point up the Coromandel coast, embracing the island near the coast. During the summer months seine netters would be excluded from the area within a line drawn from Takatu to Kauri Point, on Waiheke Island.
