" Agreeing that a reduction in the number of local bodies in New Zealand was one of the most pressing necessities of the country, the executive of thfe Associated''Chambers of Commerce decided yesterday to ask the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. iA, Hamilton, to receive a do.piitation urging the immediate appointment of a commission to inquire into the whole system of local body administration.
