NATIONAL STRIKE PLAN
SYDNEY UNIONS INDEFINITE. : REMIT FOR CONFERENCE. (Received noon.) SYDNEY, This Day. About 500 union officials and shop, delegates of the city, at the Town‘Hall last night, discussed the question of participating in a national strike, but no such decision was reached. It is believed this is dire to the ad-, verse feeling in the coalfields arid tlie lack of unanimity in the other States.; The irieeting, which excluded the Press, passed a resolution recommending the Australian Council of the Trade, Union Conference, which is to meet in Melbourne shortly, to set up a strike committee, which also would be charged with the duty of consolidating the Trade Union movement and combating wage -reductions and the lowering of working standards.
