WHANG AREI SUMMARY. FEWER BIRTHS. A very noticeable decline in the number of births in Whangarei was recorded last month. The natural increase fell away from So in April 1931, to 22. For the present year to date the figures are 115, compared with 141.
The vital statistics for April, with those for the same month last year in parentheses are:—Marriages 12 (7), deaths 10 (12). The figures for the past four months arc: Marriages 32 (27), deaths 37 (34).
