LATE VALUES STEADY.
(Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day.
Though sales on the local Stock Exchange have not been numerous during the 24 hours, late values were well maintained. At this morning’s call Goldsboro-Morts shares changed hands at £1 4/, the highest price realised for a considerable period. Buyers of Dalgety’s advanced their offers to £7 7/6, probably in anticipation of an early dividend announcement.
The banking section attracted special interest at the first call, but no sales eventuated, so buyers moved their limits to 1(3/ for Commercials, £27 for New South Wales and £8 17/6 for Australasias. Pukemiro Collieries -were -wanted at £1 9/ and Mosgiel Woollens at £6. Noon Call. The following sales were notified at the noon call: Commercial Bank, 16/2; Waihi Mine, 15/1; Waihi Grand Junction, 3/6.
