RUGBY LEAGUE
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.
The fortnightly meeting of the Northland Rugby League Management Committee was held in Hikurangi last evening,- Mr. J. F. Johnson presiding over a large attendance. Mr. E; Taylor reported that arrangements were well in hand with the Auckland League for City‘to play an Auckland team, probably on the Ellerslie ground, on August 29, or the Saturday following. He also, stated that arrangements were ' being made for an Auckland junior team to play the Northland juniors at Kensington Park on; a date in the near future.
It was decided to transfer the League’s account from the Bank of New Zealand to the Bank of New South Wales.
It was also decided to open a separate account for the iA.rt Union with the Bank of New South Wales, and Messrs. J. F. Johnson, C. E. O’Callaghan and D. B. Jones were appointed to operate. It was decided to play the deferred competition game between City and seniors at Kensington Park, next Saturday. Mr, T. G. Palmer photographer, was given the right to take and sell photographs of the Northland and Sydney footballers on the occasion of the visit of the latter to Kensington Park on October 8,
The finalising of details in connection with the visit of the Northland senior representatives to Auckland next Saturday was left to the manager, Mr. C. E. O’Callaghan. The draw for next Saturday was fixed as follows; —Deferred club competition match between City and Towai, at Kensington Park, at 3 p.m. Junior: City v. Kamo, at Kamo, 3 p.m.; Ware v. Whakapara, at Hikurangi, 3 p.m. All general and insurance accounts outstanding were passed for payment.
