PARIS, August. 14. A large tenement house in a suburb of Lyons was Avrecked by a mysterious explosion at 2.30 a.m. today. .The building was occupied by French, Spanish and Algerian Avorking-class families, of whom 30 members . were buried in the ruins.

The firemen rescued 12 persons, Avho were taken to hospital, and recovered five bodies, but 10 children are believed to be still entombed in the ruins.

The wreckage blocked the street. The rescuers heard horrifying cries from the trapped victims. Doors and windows were blown out and glass splintered 500 yards from the scene.
