MORE BURGLARIES
SMALL SUMS TAKEN,
(Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day.
Landscape Road, Mount Eden, was the scene of operations of a burglar on Thursday evening, and he obtained small sums of money amounting to 25/-. He entered one house through a small window at the rear. He passed through four bedrooms, in which' he collected various articles of clothing, which he removed to the kitchen. While there he went through the pockets of the clothing and stole the money. A curious fact is that the thief did not take any copper coins, some of which he left on the kitchen table and~somo on the lawn. No sound was heard by the occupants during the night, and the clothing was found strewn on the floor of the kitchen yesterday morning. Thieves broke into the premises of Mr S. L. P. Rimraer, coffee merchant, Nelson Street, on Thursday evening and stole £5 and two cheques from the office. The front door of the premises was forced by a jemmy.
