INJURED MAN ROBBED

Alfred Arthur Gurney, for the theft of a motor ear and goods, the property of a man injured in the earthquake, was today sentenced by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, to three years’ imprisonment, his Honour saying his only doubt was whether the punishment was severe enough for so despicable a theft.
