LICENSING

BAY OF ISLANDS COMMITTEE. The annual meeting of the Bay of Islands Licensing Committee was held in the Courthouse, Kawakawa, last week, Mr G. N. Morris, S.M., presiding over Messrs Morgan, Pearson, Clemett, Hartley and Doel. The permanent transfer of the license for Marlin Hotel, Whangaroa, from Felix C. Mullions to Arthur Fran-i cis Stone was granted. Now licenses were granted to the following hotels;—Junction Hotel, Kawakawa, to A. J, .1. Meyer; Kohukohu Hotel, to H. D, Dali; Kaxtaxa Hotel, to N. E. Wilson; Marlin Hotel, Whangaroa, to A. F, Stone; Towai Hotel, to A. Chamberlain, Renewals were granted as follows.— P. R. F. Tnode, Commercial Hotel, Waipapakauri; J. P. English, Duke of Marlborough Hotel, Russell; L, Petherbridge, Masonic Hotel, Rawene; J. J, Wansbone, Mangonui Hotel; T. J. Fleming, Awanui Hotel; W. May, Ohaeawai Hotel; J, F. Wall, Star Hotel, Kawakawa; T. Jephcoate, Kaikohe Hotel.

Renewal of accommodation licenses was granted to the following proprietors: —S. Wolstenholme, W. H, Evans, .1. L, Still, .T. L, Nelson, E. Dade, A. Cad man, .1. H. Jveatley, H. Bowman, and W. A. Land.
