There was an imluoved demand, with values slightly firmer for choice and line quality. Extra, choice ox sold 1o 27/ per lODlbs; .choice and prime, .‘ls/ to .‘1 (1/U; secondary and plain, 112/ to 24/; prime young cow and heifer beef, 22/ to .15/; ordinary cow beef, 25/ to 21/; extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £ls 10/ to flti 5/; heavy, £l4 5/ lo £ls "/(!; lighter, £l2 to £l4 2/(1; light, £7 10/ to £l2 17/(1; small and unfinished, £.4 10/ to £ll 7/d; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £ll 10/ to £l2; heavy, £lO to £ll 7/d; lighter, £S to £0 17/0; other killable cows, £4 to £7 17/6.
