COTTON FROCKS
QUEEN’S EXAMPLE COPIED. HELPING TRADE ALONG. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 6. Women members of Parliament followed the lead of the Queen, appearing in the House of Commons today in cotton frocks of Lancashire material. The Duchess of Atholl (Con,, Kinross) arrived in a cotton voile of a slaty blue and floral design. Mrs Mary .Hamilton (Lab., Blackburn), Miss 'Susan Lawrence (Lab., East Ham), and Miss Pieton Turbcrvill (Lab., Wrckin) also rvore cotton. Miss Megan Lloyd George (Lib., Anglesey) announced that she was getting a cotton dress, and Dr. Marion Phillips (Lab., Sunderland) said: “I am getting one, but it is too early to wear it yet.” Dr. Ethel Bontham (Lab., Islington) said sh 0 was getting a cotton dross for Whitsuntide.
