SOCCER FOOTBALL
ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIPS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 9 a.m.) RUGBY, May ff. The final matches of the Association football season were played on Saturday. -Sheffield Wednesday are again champions of the first division of the League, which position they occupied last year. Derby County are runners-up. Evertou and Burnley finished at the bottom of the first division and are relegated to the second division. Blackpool and Chelsea are the champions and runners-up respectively in the second division. Both have earned promotion into the first division. Notts County and Hull City were at the bottom and descend to the third division.
Plymouth .finished at the head, o'f the southern section of the third division, and Port Vale finished top of the northern section. Both enter' the second division.
