The first tennis tournament among boys of the Whangarei High School since the opening of the new hostel has just been completed. The results are as follows: — JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Singles—Round One: Barge beat Dunlop 7—5, 'Child beat Fergus 7—o, Given beat Whiteman 7—3, Smith beat Bimmons 7 —5, Ross beat Lochorc V *2, Harrison beat Kefcne 7 —l, D. Ross beat Butt 7—B, Potter boat Kelly 7—3. Round Two.—Child beat Barge 7—3, Given beat Smith 7—6, Harrison beat Ross 7—o, D. Ross beat Potter 7 —4. Bemi-fimal.—'Child beat Given 6—l, 6—o, D.
