The Duke of York, speaking at a meeting of the National Playing Fields Association, said that four years’ cork had resulted in the establishment of 43 .county branches, while 427 schemes involving a capital expenditure of £1,500,000 had been formulated. Money gifts, including £200,000 from the Carnegie Trustees, had been received to help "in the provision of playing fields. ' .
