WELLINGTON, October 24,

The annual mooting of the Real Estate Institute is 'being held today. The president mentioned that the institute was now recognised by the authorities, in that before licenses were granted the names of applicants were submitted to the executive for report. Examination was fairly difficult, and lit was hoped the institute would induce the Government to make a pass compulsory before a license was granted.

The' storm played havoc at the .Gisborne showgrounds, where a large number of tents and booths, not dismantled after the close of People’s Day, were blown down or badly torn. Sideshow men and campers were driven out of their tenta during the night and had to take refuge in the grandstand.
