After receiving ,the usual course of instruction al the local national school, he was sent to Du rex in .seminary Summer Hill College, Sligo, where for some years he studied the classics and Their teachers. Eater, he entered St. .PaHudck’s Ecclesiastical College, Carlow, ’and was ordained at that college by th.e late Most Rev. Bishop Foley, D.D., oh June 12. 1904, and sent to the Auckland Diocese.
