FARMERS ON TOUR
GOODWILL MANIFESTATION. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. A party of Southern farmers which has just completed a tour of the North Island, has given a tangible manifestation of the goodwill which was emphasised throughout by presenting a fifteen-guinea cup to the Manawatu A. and P. Association as a memento of the visit.
PROPOSED VISIT TO AUSTRALIA. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Encouraged by the success of fourteen farmers' tours which he has conducted within the Dominion, -Mr I?. Pawson, railway business agent for Canterbury, has under consideration a. proposal ,to organise a special farmers' tour from Canterbury to Australia next autumn. -None of the details lias been worked .out, but it is probable that arrangements will be made for the party to consist of 200 excursionists, the itinerary ,to include visits to principal cities and mportant stud farms and sheep stations. Probably the tour can be arranged at an inclusive cost to each excursionist of £OO.
