The estate of the late Mr James Trounson, of Northern Wairoa, has been sworn for probate at under £IOO,OOO, wires our Auckland correspondent.
The Tutanekai, with the GovernorGeneral and party, left the Chathams at 3 p.m. yesterday and is expected to arrive at Wellington tomorrow morning. .Mr A. L, Tresidder, Inspector of Courts for the Justice Department, has been appointed Clerk of the Court and Official Assignee at Whangarei, in succession to Mr Frank Bird, who has been transferred to Camara. Mr TresBidder acted as Deputy Official Assignee in a bankruptcy ease at Auckland vcsterdav.
The appointment of Canon William Fancourt,' of Palmerston North, as Vicar of St. Mary’s Parish, Auckr land, in place of Canon Porcival James, who has gone to St. Paul’s, Wellington, has been decided upon by the Wardens and Vestry of St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, Parnell, and the Diocesan Selection Committee, Among the guests at the Settlors 1 Hotel are Miss Van' Stavoren, Wellington; Mrs S. Otway, Hamilton; Mr C.
