Flying squads impersonatiny dead, sick and dying, (besides absentees and, the indifferent, are still most prominent in Irish elections, despite the Government ’s efforts to check the evil, which party organisers reportedly encourage, even providing disguises to enable pcrsonators to represent a dozen voters. 'The enfranchisement of women has proved that they are more adept in impersonation than men, changing hats and clothes and even borrowing babies in order to deceive the polling officers. During the recent election at Belfast, where the electorate was 20,000, flying squads personated 2000 voters. One man voted 20 times. The abuse has come to such a. scandal in Ulster that ithe Government has ordered an inquiry.
