The Norwegian was punishing Keeney to the body and face.—Von Porat's found. When the second round opened Keeney landed two rights and a left to Von Porat's jaw and followed with a fast right to the body. They clinched, Keeney's blows finding the target at the break. Von Porat now pounded Keeney's body, brut without apparent effect. The Norwegian, despite his reach, was finding difficulty in keeping Keeney off. Von Porat lauded a hard * 1 right to the jaw, but Keeney countered with two rights to the jaw.— Keeney's round. TWO-HANDED EXCHANGES. In the third round the New Zealander apparently decided to continue infighting. Ho was straightened up once or twice by Vou Porat’s lefts, but the latter seemed reluctant to meet Keeney on his own ground and moved away.
They now punched each other to the body in a two-handeji display, in which Yon Porat had ia shade the 'better of it —The Norwegian's round. SLEDGE-HAMMER BLOWS. Von Porat in the fourth encounter drove repeated rights and lefts to the head, but the New Zealander seemed able to take all the Norwegian had to. give without faltering. Von Porat landed three hard -rights to the jaw in quick succession. Heeney waded in, apparently convinced tllat he could trade punches with his opponent, but the Norwegian , got the better of it.—Vqii Porat’s round. • A BOXING LESSON. ; 'The men mostly sparred in round 5, Keeney giving Von Porat a boxing lesson, landing a right to the jaw and a left to the head. They came to close quarters and Heeney scored with heavy body blows. Von Porat led with the left and crossed with the right as the session closed.—lHeeney’s round. TELLING' DELIVERIES. Von Porat kept Heeney backing away for the first few seconds in the sixth round, scoring repeatedly with ' long-rahgo lefts and rights. Von Porat blocked Heaney's left au,d handed a fight to the New Zealander's jaw. Heeney received two rights and a left to the jaw again and was obviously “hurt as the- bell rang.—yon Porat'si round.

They were finding each other with a rapid fire of blows to the head. —Von Porat’s round. TERRIFIC RIGHT. Keeney landed a right and left as the eighth round opened. Von Porat received a terrific right to the jaw and several hard hammering blows to the body. Heeney was the aggressor. They now traded even in a flurry of blows. It was an Active fight, but not spectacular. —Heeney’s round. They fell into a clinch when the ninth round opened and broke away Heeney seeming to have the better of the exchange. • Heeney landed two lefts to the jaw and waded in to punish his opponent’s body. Heeney was again the .aggressor and took the round. FURIOUS FINALE. When round 10 opened they shook hands and ’fell into a clinch, Thsy mixed it furiously and A r oii Porat brought bipod from Keeney's mouth, an,d he used (his left continuously, blood streaming from- the New Zealander’s face. Von Porat continued to use his opponent’s mouth as the target and landed repeatedly. —Von Porat’s round.
It was a left to Heeney’s mouth that penetrated the dip, leaving ’a gaping ‘ wound, necessitating several stitches, and there was some 'difficulty in stopping the blood. “BETTE® MAN WON.” Heeney- subsequently made the following statement: “I am fighting my way back,' and you can rest assured 1 will .get there. The better man won tonight, but you will hear from me later.”
